(1447) A614 layby for parking. Followed public path into the woods from the road. Pleasant walk down to the pillar. Soon found as its gleaming white amongst all the greenery. Some minor old damage to two edges near the spider. FB painted but still readable. A nice one to bag, and I wouldn't have minded hanging about to explore the woods a bit more. Pillar history: Built on the 6th of February 1937, at a cost of 4 12s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in April of 1983.
