Same log as Jon Glew. 30 minute round trip and that included looking for a geocache I couldn't find. Permissive path from minor road to SW. Pillar sits atop a lovely wee hill with exceptional views to Loch Lomond, the islands, Ben Lomond etc. Top cap has been lost, no plug; LHS sight hole open; passive station plate on front face.

I was staying at the nearby caravan site in the hired motorhome so nipped up this via bike and foot before brekkers. I had not read earlier logs but suspected a half-decent view of the Loch. More than impressed. Made my day which was otherwise spent driving South.

Blustery, showery, sunny morning!
