Parked alongside the old Kirk which has been renovated into a dwelling house. Walked along the coast and were were treated to a sighting of a very large otter. We then headed up the hill and enjoyed the views. It was a nice clear day so we could see for miles.

Parked on main road (HU 4543 8783) for a 14k circular walk to pick up some local tumps, this trig the last POI visited. Walked through the grounds of the boarded up North Haa, a Grade A listed bldg one time home of the local laird. Sitting in a low shelter cairn of large stones the pillar has good panoramic views. Centre cap missing, no plug; RHS sight hole open, the other 3 plugs are degrading.

Also found that owner/tenant was grumpy about access despite no notice of private road, apologies from me and ignorance of the situation seem to smooth things over. Occasional fleeting bursts of sun made the views exceptional but very short lived. Winds force 5-6 gusting 7 made photography difficult.

(130) Best to walk up from the old PH as the landowner got a bit grumpy about my partner having the car on his land, no problems about going up to the trig though, an easy climb but a little boggy on the shoreline. Trig is visible from the main road (A968). All metalwork intact and piller in good condition. Good views in all directions.
