Jogged from Overwells pillar. Go up marked road just before Ulston, it's all nice houses now. Gate in fence just before last house on right. Trig on far side of wall in a fenced off area next to a strange box/drum type thing.

Fenced off wild trig.
Surprisingly easy to miss.

Parked at the new housing. Made my way into the fields and to the trig, which is in a small fenced off area.

Made my way from the track to the north east of Ulston before Dere Street and then followed the generous field boundaries and freshly tree planted areas to the pillar. Good views to the north.

Up here on family business for a couple of days, so not time for much trigging but the chance to do one or two and nice to be in a good spot for one's 800th trig! This one is all intact with original OS plug - deeply-indented letters. NE sighthole closed, others open. No paint. Base covered. Distant views to the E but closer in other directions. On rough ground on edge of ploughed area near to drystone wall.
