Concocted a cracking route to take in Keirwoodhead trig, Westmuir Trig and Hill of Midgate. Single car parking at 034190 on B934. Core path non existent so crossed A9 to old A9. W past Cairnie Cott and cut across fields to trig, no fences. Out N to Charlesfield. 1 barbed wire & 2 Deer with vertical ladder fences. N then E on road and through wood to Westmuir track. Easy walk in to Hill and short, amazingly dry heather to trig. Back to Blairbell and past beautiful Pitcairnie Loch, over A9 to almost Dupplin Castle. Out via Beech Rounall and Bankhead. 18.5km, 235m ascent. Beautiful views and loads of ticks in places.

Last of 4 trigs visited over weekend whilst travelling to and from granny duites in Glasgow.Parked at entrance to track which is currently clear for first 150m.(approx) It is then covered in brash so I crossed into the wood and followed a faint feral path that gradually petered out as it crossed the muir but due to dry conditions going was ok if a bit rough in the heather. Pillar in wee copse of birch but easy enough to find. Spider and cap intact.

The only good pointer to whether we had parked in the right spot was the gate but this leads to a quite overgrown and branch overhung way in. However, this route is much drier than the boggy ground off the track where the pillar sits. The last pillar of a great day out with Father Ted and Griefmiester, back to Comrie for a curry!

Parked at wrong gate so started up wrong track. Not a fan of retracing steps so pressed on hopefully--then discovered I had left GPS co-ordinates with OS Exp in car. Big expanse of boggy moor with heather and low growing silver birch trees, easy for a pillar to discreetly conceal itself so was very pleased to eventually find this.
