Spooked a few deer while hunting for the pillar, just as the light was starting to fade. Brakes failed on car while driving towards Tibbermore trig, ended up having to get recovery wagon to Dunblane and then the train back to Glasgow. [ExP-317/MiP-38/Rev-6/BM-31/IS-50/Other-21]

The only good pointer to whether we had parked in the right spot was the gate but this leads to a quite overgrown and branch overhung way in. However, this route is much drier than the boggy ground off the track where the pillar sits. The last pillar of a great day out with Father Ted and Griefmiester, back to Comrie for a curry!

Parked at wrong gate so started up wrong track. Not a fan of retracing steps so pressed on hopefully--then discovered I had left GPS co-ordinates with OS Exp in car. Big expanse of boggy moor with heather and low growing silver birch trees, easy for a pillar to discreetly conceal itself so was very pleased to eventually find this.
