Pleased to note that this Trig is still in good condition. Original plan was to follow the walk mentioned in my Countryfile book and take a detour to the Trig. Our dog had different plans and went for the lie down protest because she was on her lead. Our OS App came to our aid and we retreated back towards the car park thence took the Rottingham permissive path route mentioned elsewhere. With the now happy dog, we were able to rejoin the coastal path and saw the magnificent sandstone cliffs, although sea mist obscured views towards IoM. Returning to café to sit in comfort with inclement weather building up outside.

Took path through open access area but very muddy steep and overgrown in places. Also make sure you get into the right field when it opens up. Permissive path open all the way past TP to the coast path. Went down via coast path but maybe difficult to follow in reverse as not clear when to turn right and leave it. Well worth any effort you care to expend though.
