Parked near the cattle grid ESE of pillar. Ascended Nab End and followed the high ground to the pillar. Excellent visibility made for a superb panoramic view with the Southern & Western Lake District fells, North Pennines, Howgills and Western Yorkshire Dales with Ingleborough just peeping over. Descended into the valley for the return.

Worth a gruelling Good Friday motorway trip - another Tebay foray staying on the Eastern Fells. Beautiful bounding hill viewed from afar on Tarn Crag walk a while back. Limited parking at Dryhowe then round to Bannisdale Head. Murky but beautiful as the hills lap around us. Brunt Knowl distantly visible.
