Up from Tissington on a shall we/shan't we walk. Sky as rough as old boots and I'm not a fan of that leaf scurry followed by downpour sort of weather. However a glorious spot, some of the best of the Derbyshire Dales with Minning Low never far from view. 1st of 3 to bag - could have done dozens looking at the OS - great spot.

It's in there somewhere - but on the other side!

First trig of 3 on the day, Parked in Tissington trail car park and set out to walk to Kirk Ireton just East of Carsington water. Terrible ground conditions with some snow remaining on the higher ground, fields rich with very wet sticky mud (enevitable downside to walking this time of year ) Footpath navigation around Kniverton/Atlow somewhat challenging with a fair degree of guess work especially close to or around farm buildings where footpaths are marked close to the property !! not the best day for visibility unfortunately, anybody kicking out to do a multi-trig day in this part of the county, wait for the drier months.

I took the footpath up the steps from the Tissington Trail and then followed it across two fields before turning up the hill to the pillar which is situated on the east side of the fence. Everything in good order and pillar seems to still have original indented plug. Nice rural location in a lovely setting.
