Managed to park north of the 208 spot where small lane goes off to left. Walked back up lane to take footpath east to field boundary of trig field, then followed field boundary round to trig on large plinth just on edge of field.

Parked at entrance to forest track (SY 21152 98716), climbed gates and headed up forestry track to the top, then over barbed wire fence into field to hug trig which sits high on a plinth. High point didnít seem any higher than trig? Crop of corn in the field at the moment.

Walked here from Dalwood. If there is an arable crop (currently it's a wheat field) it may be best to approach as I did, from the track inside the wood. Forgot my camera, but the scene was much as captured by Team Harrison, with the trees encroaching on the trig and the plinth knee-deep in nettles.

We parked at the entrance to the footpath and followed this before heading straight up the field to the trig, (gates were open and no livestock at the time). The trig is just in front of the wood on a large plinth. Good views to the south. Plug with indented lettering.
