Parked next to it just before roundabout, quick hop over damaged fence. Easy bag. Area full of rubbish with a fork sticking out of flush bracket. Council should be ashamed.

Parked on residential sideroad off Papplewick Lane and walked back up to the roundabout. The trig pillar is on the edge of a construction site tucked away on the right but easily accessible

Easy one to bag, park in the farm entrance just on the round about. Trig sits only a matter of feet away behind a fence. Walk round the fence to the trig in its own little garden, Pillar in great condition with all its metal work sadly no real views

(1442) Parking on Wighay Road. Short walk back to entrance to Wighay Farm. Area becoming overgrown, but pillar soon spotted. Ivy covered on the RHS, but pillar in fine condition. A nice and easy one to bag. Pillar history: Built on the 20th of August 1948, at a cost of £8 12s 10d. Last maintained by the OS in April of 1983.

Good condition pillar tucked into a small wood at the entrance to Wighay Farm. About 20m away from busy roundabout but easy access. FB faces west-ish with no sightholes open. Cap present with sunken lettering.

In climbing over the fence I got some splinters in my hand, but after photographing the pillar I realised I need not have suffered for my hobby as I could have walked around the end of the fence a couple of metres away! Metalwork at the top is complete and the pillar is in good condition despite proximity to a built-up area.

Sunday morning so parked at the farm entrance on the roundabout. In small wooded area almost on the roundabout. Not really into traffic islands but the nearby island at the end of the Hucknall bypass contains a statue of the 'flying bedstead' developed at the nearby aerodrome (soon to be built over), an early attempt at vertical take-off and the forerunner to the Harrier jump-jet.

Easy to find next to a rounderbout. Look for the farm entrance sign and it's just to the right next to a fence.

Easily located just behind fence in trees close to roundabout. No view and not an attractive location though if you have time on your hands you are not too far from Newstead Abbey with its Byron connection. A decorative couple of ivy strands attached to this hidden trig.

Very easy. Its literally 2 metres away from the roundabout, but hidden from view in a bush. behind the fence and private property sign.

Stroll round the local area with my brother who enjoys the search. Trig in good condition but behind a fence with no views. Quite easy to find if you look N. up the track up to Wighay Farm it's behind right hand side fence (smothered in vegetation) of the entrance.

As previous visitors note this is easy in autumn but maybe not in summer. I was parkedup thinking I was a mile or two away when an abmulance pulled out of the yad and I remembered comments about this trig being opposite the ambulance station so turned the engine off and found it!

easy in autumn with no leaves just to the right of the enrty to the counil depot that acts as the car park right on a roundabout. Looking too datrk for anything else now. Still leaves a nice run if I get another visit to UK Coal HQ

Very close to kick-off time and [having not read the previous logs] had a devil of a game to find this as it's very well hidden in a small copse. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. All sightholes closed. Traces of paint. Right by the roundabout but you can't see a thing. Anyway, just made it to the ground by 19.45 and we won 3-1. Whether this is a good omen for the season ahead.....who knows?
