#25 'trig' of the trip. #17 Pillar. Parked in local business park at south end of access road. Walked up the drive to the fantastic house (Hillside House) with some amazing sculptures and doors and spoke to very friendly and helpful owner who gave us permission and pointed us in the direction of the trigpoint. Pillar sits at top a reservoir next to a grazing field. Evidence of badgers near pillar too. Mark of 10 is for the house and owner!

From Burnett's Lane, walked up driveway to Windmill Cottage, over field gate and N along field bdy to small overgrown covered reservoir on which the trig stands. Cleaned it up a little, mainly removing moss and ivy. Original cap in place, indented lettering; front & RHD side sight holes closed, other 2 need digging out so remain undetermined. Extensive views N, E & S; W obscured by small wooded area on and to W of reservoir. Small herd of young inquisitive cattle congregated.

The pillar was approached through two unoccupied fields from the footpath to the north; Pennard Hill, the Mendip Scarp and Glastonbury Tor can be seen as you climb this small hill. It is sited in a partially derelict overgrown reservoir compound that is under severe badger attack; it has a metal cap with deep lettering and FB S5757. The pillar only offers a view to the east: the slopes of Pennard Hill can be seen with another ridge just visible in the mist in the distance to the southeast.
