Parked in the CP just past Barrowburn and followed the farm road past Rowhope and Trows, and the bridleway from there on up. Just as well it is very visible and easy to follow, as the hills were shrouded in very low, dense mist and drizzle. Boggy and very windy on the top, very atmospheric, but no views at all today, but still a dozen others visiting even in poor weather. A very enjoyable trip though, will revisit in better weather, and hopefully score it higher next time

My fifth visit, repeated route done in December 2013, from Cocklawfoot past Kelsocleuch and up Windy Rig. Although this is technically a 'Northumbrian' Trig it does sit on the Scottish side of the border ridge, and this approach means bagging a Northumbrian TP without ever setting foot in Northumberland! It's a great route though, terrific views all round once you're up onto Kelsocleuch Rig. Absolutely cracking weather today, views were immense. ~~ 13/04/2009 First visit: Anti-clockwise trip from Barrowburn, up the County Ride, then along the border and back down The Street. Great trig at top another huge carin with fabulous 360 degree views. Descended via bridle way to Rowhope then west across Hindside Knowe to pick up the road at Carlcroft. Great day!
