Ok, I might have wondered about why S4376 was put where it was but at least it was on dry land. This Trig seems to be sinking into the swampy ground. It was hard to get close without getting my feet wet.

In a cattle pasture on the Avon flood plain, and quite wet it was - the trig even has its own moat. Footbridge has been replaced now so access from Burton ok. Cap missing, asphalt plug; all sight holes closed. Flat 360deg views; St Catherine's hill to NW looks surprisingly small considering the views from there are really very good.

Finally got this trig at the 3rd attempt. Access from the west, at the Christchurch waterworks, as the bridge from the east (Burton) seems to have been washed away in the floods. Very boggy ground even in the summer, as it's on a floodplain.

The flooding from back last year has not yet receded enough to visit this trig as the fields still resemble lakes. It is above water, but the Avon Valley Path isn't. It could be seen in the field but the flood water prevents access. This one may need a revisit in a heat wave! Best to park in Pittmore Road which is residential, as the Avon Valley Path crosses here and you can safely park and walk along the path.
