Thanks for advice from fellow members. Easy find with screwdriver and trowel once the correct fence posts were identified. Remains of blue plastic bag still there.

These are the posts you want. Blue plastic bag too.

Thought the photos would help but couldn't match up the fenceposts to the location. Either others have been searching here or ground is like a ploughed field with added overgrowth. Thankless task. Spent ages with a small fork grubbing around attracting the attention of local car drivers. Advice plus less vegetation might help - will return around Xmas maybe.

Maybe it's there and maybe it isn't

Buried 10cm deep. 1" bolt. Lots of deep dead vegetation on top but the blue bag is still there. Bagging Assistant getting happier even though its now raining and getting breezier.

Paced 16m from inspection cover, found pair of fence posts, 1.2m from post found hole with blue plastic bag covering 1" bolt in block. Fully dark by the time I got here after finding the Linlithgow pair but this one was a doddle.

Revisited and was easy to find with vegetation cut back. Original log - 02/03/07 Found pin in fence post, measured with tape but it is now buried. Ripped up turf with my hands but I really need to come back with Trowel / Spade to find this one.

Easy to find after I'd realised I'd parked the car on it.....used the GPS then looked for the usual "surface block keyhole view" hole.
