Second nearest extant pillar to home after Sapperton (TP5816). Relatively easy walk from minor road along bridleway (although field has been harvested and the ploughed earth is hard going especially after yesterday’s rain)! Pillar stands on south side of remains of hedge, with asphalt plug. FB faces S. North sighthole is open, all others plugged. A pleasant location with just a little noise from the A417 trunk road nearby, but views limited to the vast arable fields surrounding. Position logged from average of two readings from GPS device accurate to ±5m.
