Trig easily found amongst the trees just to the left on a natural rise. Several discarded condoms and lots of small white spheres close by. Apart from a little moss the pillar is in good condition with original metalwork. Have awarded slightly higher score than Farley despite similarly obstructed views owing to the intriguing wirestone nearby. Returned to Hackney via Bottom Moor and Cuckoostone Lane then across Matlock Golf Course and past Sandy Lane Farm where I had good views across to Crich Monument & Riber Castle.

You take out the last one in the flight first, so the ones in front don not notice, Then you work your way along. Since the 'Brick' obligingly stood in line, it was swift, silent and efficient. I buried the bodies just north of the pillar - a sort of 'Geocache' for new trigpointers to look for. Then my picture, before melting away into the night
