What a uniquely odd pillar this is, and Fasgadh's description of all those years ago (2004) still holds good. I've certainly never seen a pillar without an FB number. Easily enough to reach; over the gate opposite the Leisure Centre, turn right, and a few hundred yards onwards there it is standing proudly in its difference.

A real Curiosity... The tiny cap is filled, all sights openly protruding by pipe. Sat on a huge square base with no flush bracket on the slightly octagonal pillar. My only addition to all previous logs is the benchmark and bolt combo on the roadside step of the base. Nettled en route over the woodwork, limboed the electric fence to neighbouring field then crawled scratchily thro the hawthorn to exit roadside.

Wolgarston ...a curiosity, to be sure!
