Cycled to this TP during Covid-19. It was part of my daily exercise. I had previously tried to visit this TP on 10-01-2018 but the field was far too muddy. Today it was very dry and I managed to walk between the crops. Only 4 cars passed me the whole route!!!

Walked from Drumoak (bus out from Aberdeen). Field crrently ploughed but not planted. Very wet under foot and my feet ended up 10 times bigger in the short walkk to and from the pillar. Good views, spider intact.

The pillar now stands in the middle of a field. There is no longer a drystone wall as shown in photographs from a few years ago. (See Border Peat's photo from September 2011). Shame it's gone. An exceptionally muddy walk across to the pillar which has its cap & one sight-hole open. Then back through the oozing mud, feet becoming uncomfortably damp: time for a new pair of walking boots.

Drove a little way up the track and then walked a short distance along the track and then into the muddy field, quick find near to the telegraph poles.
