Look for a break in the weather and headed to the snowy hills near Camps Reservoir near Crawford. Took the sheltered track through the trees from the parking spot at the bottom of White Gill Wood emerging from the SE corner of the wood (after a fight through the trees) to pick up the track of the new Clyde Windfarm. Followed this pretty much to the summit, before heading back down via Peat Rig to the SE tip of Camps Reservoir for a lovely walk back along the waters edge. Lovely hill.

Like Clyde Law, visited earlier in the day, the top screed is wearing away. All metal work is intact. Area about to be consumed by a huge wind farm. I say huge, but the enormous project will only generate 500MW. Still twice the size of the current record holder. There is an anemometer mast on the summit, and a road is being built on Harleburn Head.

Pillar completed 16th June 1950, cost £34.17s.3d. Tertiary station in Block NS83, Lanark. Easy access via White Gill Wood or from Camps Reservoir. Pillar good, but top surface beginning to deplete. Spider retains OS cap with deep indented letters. Front and RHS sighting holes open. FB faces NW (302°). Views include Tewsgill Hill, Tinto, Whitelaw Brae, Culter Fell, Coomb Dod and Hart Fell.
