Parking slightly dodgy on single track access road at NO154095. I'm not sure if it was strictly legit. Short walk along a track then up a field to the pillar following tractor tracks. It could be difficult with crops in. Cap with lettering intact

Drove up the track towards the new bungalows. Soon after it swings right there is a pull-in. From there we could back track to the track junction and walk up towards the trig point and finally around the field boundary to the trig point itself. Dodging the snow showers this afternoon with Brisey and Griefmiester.

Father Ted describes our access route well but our timing wasn't optimum for the brief snow shower. Some muck spreading was going on in an adjacent field but the workers showed no interest in us.

Appropriately named hill for today there was yellow everywhere: the flowers of the gorse, oil seed rape in the fields, broom in the hedgerows, a scattering of buttercups & dandelions, and quite a few yellowhammers flitting around. The pillar had its stamped cap in place, and two sight holes open (or two sight holes closed, if you prefer.)
