From road to N. It’s in fading light we cross the stile and ascend over field of pasture and another stile into summit field of sheep grazed grass. Definite high point with trig pillar on low grassy mound, possibly tumulus? Almost dark Good views of coastal lights.

A simple brisk walk up from the road to the north. Straight forward dry path up with a brilliant surprise view southwards on reaching the last few yards. The views out to sea were special as well.

Up from the pull in on the single track lane. Excellent viewpoint on a breezy morning, distant views beautifully hazy. Trig is in pretty good condition but I shant argue with 'slightly damaged' as some of the surface is damaged. All fixings in place.

Used my newly acquired OS online mapping to locate the viewpoint just north of the Trig, right by the signposted path. Straightforward short walk from there. After enjoying the wonderful views that others have noted, we headed down to Abergele for fish and chips.

Parked on the road to the north of the pillar, and took the public right of way (PRoW) from there up to the summit and the pillar. The pillar is a primary and a passive station. Fantastic views all round, especially of Rhyl and the sea. 3 of 10 today in and around Rhyl, Prestatyn, and Colwyn Bay.

Parked in the wide verge near the start of the footpath. It's a tough quarter mile slog to the top but well worth it. Amazing views in all directions. Nice way to end the day.

There’s a small lay-by close to the viewpoint and from there it’s an easy but quite steep walk up to the pillar. This morning it was very misty and visibility was down to a few hundred yards so I missed out on the views. There was evidence of possible ditch and bank earthworks up here but it’s not shown as a ‘fort’ on the OS maps. There were a lot of small areas where the top sod had been removed… some had been roughly replaced, some not. I suspect that metal detectorists had been at work here recently. The pillar is generally in good condition although as some have noted, the cement screed on the top is showing a little frost damage. All the metalwork is present.

After visiting Moelfre Uchaf trig pillar earlier in the afternoon I headed directly here. I thought I was alone on top as I made my routine trig inspection and photographs until I heard a wheezy cough from a dozen metres away. I looked up to see a half naked elderly man lying there sunbathing. I called over 'Nice day!' to him, then turned and hurried away down to the safety of Abergele. The pillar stands on a prominent, grassy hill to the south of Abergele. The hill was ascended by means of the footpath from the view point to the north and descended by the permissive footpath to the east. The fields were populated by ewes and their new born lambs. The trig has Welsh and English passive station plates, a metal plug with wide raised lettering and FB S1624. The site has an impressive panorama. The northern coast line could be seen including Great Orme, Little Orme, Colwyn Bay and the off shore wind farms. The Clwydian Range lies to the east. High, broad moorland rises up in the south. Snow was still visible on the more sheltered parts of the Snowdonia peaks to the west.

Metal plug [raised letters]. Public. RoW from lane on north side, straight up to summit & trig. Prominent round hill dominates the landscape for many miles around. Has the usual Welsh sheep & gorse. Feasible walk from Abergele, via the hospital.

Excellent Views all round (today snowdonia was lost in cloud. The path from the north is a nice easy approach, but not very dog friendly stiles. There is slight frost damage to the final rendering, has been whitewashed at one point but now well worn. Plug still in place.
