Interesting spot with varied views over the town, residential, commercial & industrial. Also good land- and sea-scapes. Access was a few metres along the sewerage plant rd, over fencing and up a steep muddy track up the small hill. Top cap is missing, no plug; L & RHS sight holes open. Pillar has a nice plaque commemorating 2 surveyors. Pillar can be seen from the road.

Quick visit to Porthmadog for a couple of trigs and checking out the Purple Moose Brewery, having been sampling their brew most of the week in various pubs. Nipped over the 5 bar metal gate near the entrance to the sewage works and up through the gorse. scruffy little outcrop with somebody's rubbish tipped just below the pillar. Trig views as expected at this level and close to town. Plug missing but the addition of a nice slate plaque to one face. Forgot GPS - hence not GR taken.

Walked along lane towards Sewage work and on you left are two gate, one into field then one on your left into the area of land with the trig on top of the small hill. It's a bit of mesh getting through the gorse to the top but not too bad at this time of year.

Bagged having come down on the train from Ffestiniog. I've thrashed through undergrowth to get to a trig before but this was one of the worst. Bracken way above my head. A good pull though, had me on top. Well worth it for the view. A winter ascent would be better me thinks.

Lovely day. Snow on the distant mountains. Struggle getting up. Must be easier way down. Would have been much more difficult in the summer with the high bracken. Perhaps easier through the two gates to the right of the first gate.
