Parking in public car park in Zennor village - packed due to wedding of local girl in St Senara's Church (cut benchmark). Pleasant walk up to cliff top, too misty for views. Well maintained, clear cut path through gorse. Stone-built pillar found in good condition, odd shape, not the normal elegant design, dumpy is an apt description by previous logger. Cap missing, no plug; LHD side sight hole open. Mist cleared duing our luch stop to reveal lovely views NE to Gala Rocks and Mussel Point, and SW to Carnelloe Long Rock.

So near to the coast path, but so far. there is no easy way to get to this one. Its surrounded by at least 200 yards of deep gorse and bracken. Best to reach from the footpath which cuts out the headland, there is a path shown on the 1:50,000 leading straight there but it doesnt exist. Stone built pillar, and of course no plug . Still not a bad viewpoint

Well worth the flounder for the views on this morning. Stupendous views to the northeast and the sea. Cornwall at its best. Three more today along the cliff and to a high point.

parked near pub then down the path to swcp you can see the pillar, looks a bit of a chunky one, i walked right round the footpath but i could not find any path to it so its just a case of pick a line towards it and walk through the gorse, as i always wear shorts i find it exfoliates my legs and also cuts them to shreds but never mind all in a good cause, views are good and a drink in the pub takes your mind of the blood pouring out of your legs
