Log #519. Couldn't find it after half an hour of poking and prodding. Going by the photos, sketch, and other logs, should have been easy. Hopefully someone else can find it. [ExP-356/MiP-38/Rev-6/BM-40/IS-52/Other-27]

Easy find as quite exposed. Chunk out of LH corner, no height tag, OS GPS plate gone. Layby still very muddy.

Well hidden despite a 'winter coat' usually revealing the prize! Cleared much of the moss from the road-facing surface. Exceptionally muddy lay-by at this time; didn't risk a 3-point turn, and turned at the end of the lane.

Towards E end of muddy layby 10m from start of taper, 0.5m R of small elder tree which is just visible in iainmac pic. Took a while to find as no OS sketch and previous info vague :-(

No change. Passing place beside FBM is big enough for 3-point turn, very useful!

Good condition FBM. It seems the hillside is sliding down over it! Had to almost dig it out. Height tag missing, as usual.....

Made a bit of a hash of this, but got it in the end. Initially parked at end of lane and walked up, but couldn't find FBM even with GPS, owing to 4 foot high weeds. So returned to car for sketch and reversed back up to passing place. Even with sketch it took a bit of finding.

New passing place constructed aside the FBM. Hazarding a guess the construction works did the damage. Then some donkey stole the OS plaque. Nice work...

Almost buried and covered in vines leaves, about 2 metres from side of road. Still hard to find without a GPS.

Spent some time digging this one out to reveal the original "Ordnance Survey Bench Mark" plate which was completely buried. It is on the LHS of the block from the track. This now resembles an FBM rather than a surface block. Warning, broken bottles buried here too. GRP.

Mostly buried. Slight damage to GPS plate, but still in reasonable enough condition to warrant Good. Will be returning to dig and reveal more. GRP.

Somewhere on the side of a farm access lane.. but where? Vegetation has died back but still no sign of the wee block of granite.

GPS indicated side of lane but no sign. Some fallen trees so may be covered up though I had a fair look around.
