Trig is easily visible from the road, but slightly tricky to reach. We made the mistake of hopping the barbed wire fence opposite a layby, which meant we had quite a slog through the heather to reach the trig. For the return trip, we found the path and gap in the wall/barbed wire mentioned by others, then walked back along the road. A few cuts and scratches, but quite pretty with all the heather blooming.

Still had to clamber wall and fence to get into open access. Mopping up the last pillars on Explorer White Peak OL24 and gift the three today to Dry January, a great incentive to ditch the wine.....too much consumed during the lockdowns.

Providing a stile or too would have been nice. As the moor is pretty much pathless and covered in ankle to knee deep heather this would be a long, hard slog from elsewhere, and it is not an easy stroll by the shortest route. Concrete plug. Public. Access Land [but no obvious access point from the nearby road; necessary to negotiate a low stone wall & barbed wire fence]. Peak District National Park. Visible from miles away across the moor from south west, but the heather is not easy. Walkers will be forced onto the road sooner or later. The trigpoint is actually a pleasant spot, once reached.
