This FBM with height mark is easy to locate and you can park very close to it. It is located on a small grassed area within a square wrought iron fence. The small concrete base, FBM with height mark, OS plate and the advice plate were all in good condition at the time of my visit.

Within wrought iron fence and easy to find at road junction. Apparently recently cleared of grass and sapling.Metal plate on top says 797.28; stainless steel plate on side says part of OS passive network. With Richard, Zoe and Sophie. strangely exciting to find!

In playpen on a small island in the road outside gates to Riber Hall. Gave the foldng coping saw an outing on the sapling that's growing in the pen, reducing it to 2" tall! Height tag is retained giving 797.28ft.

I'm setting my record straight, I didn't realise there were two FBM's in Riber, my earlier log for this one was for the other one. Bad research on my part. On a walk with my two mates, Tracker Dog and Rubber Ball, came up from Holloway. (Visit Maycock Butchers in Holloway, their meat pies and scotch eggs are delicious.) This FBM is easily found in its cage and is in good condition. Seven marks for historical surroundings.

Not been up here for about 25 years since I came to watch hill climb races. A point in favour of the hobby - taking one to places you wouldn't otherwise go. An FB in the absence of any likely pillars to get my "fix"!

Conrete block is nocely fenced off in a small green at the road junction. Although the block has what could be a fluch bracket - this has no number on it. There is a metal plaque on the top which gives the height above sea level 797.28 feet in this case.
