Log #337. Walked in from the east, then up the banking beside the fossil grove building. Not too hard to find after that. Surprisingly good condition considering the amount of beer cans strewn about. [ExP-243/MiP-29/Rev-2/BM-22/IS-31/Other-10]

Easy to find within the park from the east. No fences, just an obvious gap in the bushes behind a single conifer above the amphitheatre.

Victoria Park. Parked on Victoria Park Drive North, in through main gates, headed towards the Fossil Grove, GPS took me straight to it in bushes. Height tag missing. Lots of broken glass.

Alternative route into this one: Park by school to the west and follow fence along north side of iron fence. About 400m in a gap of two missing railings allows you to nip in and FBM will be found directly to the south of the gap.

Found it despite only writing half the gr down. The amphetheatre of the wrecked crazy golf course looked locked, but a gate was left slightly ajar and unlocked. Found the pillar at the back, in the shrubbery in what looked like a drinking den. No locals in situ. OS plaque covered in ned fouling, like most surfaces here abouts, but otherwise OK.

Intact and good condition FBM pillar. Height tag missing and OS plaque graffitied. GPS took me to 2' away in the Fossil Grove gardens. Obviously not quite right. Amphitheatre with wrecked old concrete crazy golf was, for once, unlocked, so easy access there. Just walk to the top of the thing and there's an obvious path through the undergrowth with the FBM clearly visible. Local worthies had left a large amount of empty bottles plus, mysteriously, a plastic bag full of shite. Urban trigs. Always a joy.

Easiest access is through amphitheatre. However, if this is locked,as today, can gain access through rock garden on the way to the fossil grove.
