The story that the wall has been rebuilt following an accident seems to hang true to me given the amount of traffic along the road. No sign of the old boy.

[Non-Visit Note] "Situated on the highest portion of a large grass verge, east side of road, B4268, about 100' south of road junctions Cowbridge Bridgend - Llysworney. Centre of chamber is 36' north of north-east corner of house, 10' from centre of hedge to centre of chamber and 29' from crown of road to centre of chamber. The pillar is on the north side of the pillar." This description would place it within the present walled garden of Ty Meurig. Note that the sketch at http://gps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/stationpics/gif/H1SS9675.gif does not relate to this station, but to Cowbridge FBM Aux 1 (H2SS9675). There is a photograph showing the location of the FBM (prior to the changes to the garden walls) at http://gps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/stationpics/jpg/H1SS9675.jpg

Asked at the house behind the wall but they had no knowledge but they did say original wall demolished by a van and rebuilt so might have gone then.

Need to review on large scale maps but the wall surrounding the house looks to be rebuild with a new parking area on the roadside initial indications suggest this redevelopment either moved the FBM into a 6FT high walled garden or destroyed it.
