Eventually found a parking spot a couple of hundred yards to the north at the entrance to an old peoples home. Not sure where the large car park is that others have mentioned - we couldn't find it !! Left Mrs Dan to guard the car while I nipped quickly in and back.

Parked on the road inbetween the doocot and the castle and found a gap with a path up into the woods and passed the doocot. Tricky to spot amongst the bluebells and nettles.

Parked in layby on main road and walked back to car park. Followed signs and trail all the way to the fbm in amongst the bluebells.

Easy to find today. Follow Heritage Trail path from big car park. Take left hand branch at first junction, path takes you right to big earthen hump. FBM just to RHS.

Gate to the NW lets you into MoD via Heritage Trail. Clean of moss, not so hard to find. My 700th trig.

Easy enough find. About 10m off the path on the "Heritage Trail" found at the end of the Innova Campus road. A bit moss-covered so slightly camouflagued, but easy enough to spot. In good condition. No height tag.

Not much to see as the trees block the views. The benchmark has been cleaned and is in very good condition. Found as a YOSM and bagged this whilst also finding the nearby cache.

vgc, OSBM & GPS plaques, no height tag. From small gate in blue fence, its about 160m at a bearing of 157deg - c 40m further back than expected from plot on 50k map. Found thanks to fasgadh's pic - leaning Elder tree is quite distinctive. FBM was hidden by fern and fallen branch. This was supposed to be first test for new GPS but it wasn't delivered until the next day!

Well covered in moss but the important parts are visible. Many nettle stings whacking thru' the undergrowth before success.

This is one to visit in May when the bluebells are out. Well hidden in a wood away from paths. Thought it was going to be a hard one as the wood is well fenced,almost reservoir style, but the gate was open. Popular dog emptying area so watch your feet.
