A maze of paths through wood and very muddy G.P.S.lost readings some of the time, quiet a long walk when its getting dark ended up coming back on a different route!!!!

vgc, OSBM plaque, no GPS plaque. 20m N of forest track. Easily found thanks to railings. From ENE, car park just inside wood, tracks thru SWT nature reserve.

The railings are a great help, otherwise it really would be lost in the forest. Quite a long walk by FBM standards but very enjoyable. First time in Duns Woods for 25 years.

Nearly gave up on this one, but spotted the railings through the trees as I was turning to leave. Access to Duns Common from the Duns Castle nature reserve.
