Went out for 3, got 1. Disappointing but, this is a beauty. We got a few caches in en route to ease the pain. Nicely tended green with hedgehog benching around focal tree, FBM nestling in hawthorn hedge with strip of wild vegetation in front.

Parking tight in the village of Everthorpe so we parked on the A1034 by the cemetery chapel. 3 mile circular walk encompassing the trig. Very muddy at this time of year. It was funny watching another walker shout "bastard" as the electric fence got him!

Pleasant village and pleasant location for the FBM, nestling in a hawthorn hedge on the W side of a triangular village green, in the middle of which is a huge tree with a bench all the way round it.

(439) The weather wasn't the best today, but no matter. (I have already earmarked the North bank of the Humber for Summer re-visits, so something to look forward to there.) Parked up on Low Road just before the junction. The FBM is easily spotted - situated beneath a hedge facing out towards the small green.

Visiting this one in spite of the weather. Would I have noticed this small inconspicuous concrete post on the bottom of the hedge on the green if I had not been guided to it? I doubt it. Indeed, would I even have left the main road to come to this village?

Completion of the local trio with Father Ted. The FBM is in excellent condition with height plate still in place, although I wasn't able to read the height like I did in 2006. Fading light or eyesight?

on little patch of green.Spent a hour after this clearing then diggin up a area the size of a football pitch trying to find North cave,even with the internet on my phone with a picture of Seanmac standing on it and Ted's photo's I could not find it,as for moving on to South cave FBM Aux 1 I had lost the heart for it and deceided it was time for home.

This FBM is in good condition, standing up against a fence and behind a bank of daffodils. There was nobody around to wonder what I was doing. The height plate reads 104.05 feet. My GPS said 106 feet - near enough.
