Quick stop off on the journey home after a tough day bagging pillars in Spadeadam and Wark forests. This one's was as simple to bag as Black Knowe was difficult!

Found the OS plate on the ground in front of the wall, thanks to other photos and descriptions. Verge overgrown with nettles so not easy to spot.

Another one of the buried type set at ground level. GPS plate and bolt on top surface, no sign of the Benchmark plate. Measured at 1.9m S of the gatepost; 0.5m from wall.

GPS does show it on opposite side of road. It is buried next to the wall about 6 feet to the right of the gate post. Only the top showing but easy to find.

took some finding, grid ref is given to the west of the road. Clearly the FBM is on the east side of road, (realised this after 10minutes of thrashing though tall wet grass and a drainage ditch, of course my GPS may have been playing up!)

Mostly buried FBM or well exposed surface block, depending on your viewpoint. Nice bit of granite with big bolt on top with broad arrow incised (similar to Arrochar FBM). Easy bag beside the gate post and exposed in low winter vegetation.
