Parked on road nearby and bagged this one. This is very easy to find now the hedge has been cut down within a chicken wire fence. After this we wandered two houses down and found Whitton Green South FBM. Earlier we bagged Burnt Hill trig pillar nearby.

Good condition FBM with missing height tag. Hedge now gone! It looks like the owner is growing a new one though. The FBM and some seedlings are inside a chicken wire fence.

In thick laurel hedge of 97 Cotmer Road. no railings or height tag but top bolt and both plaques (on same side) intact. felt an idiot on my knees looking into hedge but luckily is quite close to the pavement. It is where the hedge changes angle, c 6m from water meter chamber.

I was starting my search for the FBM when a neighbour came out and challenged me. Being honest I said that I was looking for an Ordnance Survey marker, they then asked if I meant the water meter. How I managed not to laugh is beyond me. I showed them a picture of the hedge and they then pointed to the hedge and walked off, leaving me to stick my head into it.

Just in hedge. In line with boundary with no 99/97. No height tag. Nearer to the front of the hedge than anticipated from earlier logs.

This should be openly accessible on a grass verge but has now been consumed within a sprawling laurel hedge on SE boundary of 97 Cotmer Rd. Spoke with owner who knew it was there, but couldn't pin-point it for me. Took a little while to locate it. I paced it out at 3.5m from the junction of the hedge with next door's (99 Cotmer Rd) fencing. Top surface has some spalling, and height tag missing.

Concrete starting to chip off top of pillar. Had to push into someone's hedge to find it. Then went on to find the other one about 100 yards away!

Mind your eyes! A bit of a push into the hedge to find this one.

The FBM has a passive network plaque on it and also has a passive network station description (http://gps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/viewpassiverec1.asp?recnumber=H1TM5191). The survey marker is just under the hedge of 97 Cotmer Road but on the curtilage of public road. The Grid reference of the trig, as scaled from the 1:1250 plan is TM 51897 91302
