No pillar and my spade broke, but clear evidence of a recent dog here, assuming the bolt remains underground as reported in other logs. No pillar remains here.

Upper marker gone, lower marker 20cm down, granite block with 2" brass bolt, 30cm W of path edge, 3m from tree. OS sketch dims correct ie 2.1m from corner of BT cover, 6.7m from BT cabinet. Early morning parked just inside golf gateway opposite, no golfers yet. Excavation refilled and turf replaced to keep tidy given the location. Subsequently found 2 OS BM descrs: 1) YELVERTON FBM 2M NW SIDE RD 8M NE C RD OPP 62M NE RAC BOX (PILLAR DAMAGED NOW SURFACE BLOCK ; 2) YELVERTON FBM 1.8M NW SIDE RD 2.5M NE PRODN NE SIDE RD OPP 3.22M E FENCE 22.01M S OF GTP 6.70M NE GPO JUNC BOX

We're not used to our FBMs being below gnd level! Should have read peregrinus's log properly and I might have taken some measurements and done some probing. This one is 5cm down according to the OS sketch, no longer available from the OS Passive site. Spade work required. ***Re-visited 30 Mar 2019 after it had been re-found. Parked opp side rd on golf course.

Parked at the golf course car park by the Club House, there is a footpath across the course. GPS indicated I was at the spot, which was just where the golfers cross the main road to the other side of the golf course. Checked the grass verge and ditch, nothing found. Nothing to see accept a very busy main road. Bit suspicious about there ever being a FBM here, there is Yelverton FBM Aux1 just along the road.

Had a very good look for this and even with OS photo and sketch drew a blank. I'm sure theres nothing above ground but maybe bolt is under earth or golf couse path.

I too couldn't find it, after a not very diligent search in the drizzle.

TP7256 location? A photo from the moor side of the fence, showing the bracken that makes searching difficult.
