The ‘tripod’ antenna has definitely been removed from the roof. I managed to gain access to one of the adjacent blocks of flats and climbed to the top floor balcony, overlooking the aforementioned roof. It ain’t there!!. As it was almost certainly moved by the OS, could I suggest that the ‘condition’ is now changed to ‘Toppled or moved’ rather than ‘Unreachable but visible’

I was in the capital for a wine tasting; afterwards I walked two miles along the south bank of the Thames from London Bridge to Lambeth. The office was in a largely residential area of Vauxhall; several blocks of flats were passed as I strolled down Vauxhall Walk towards Graphite Square. Cursory glances at the roof didn’t show the tripod, the OS website state that the station is no longer operating. I presume it is gone.

Surrey. I had a day in London. Most people head for the sights or the shops. I headed for Vauxhall to see the OS office and a tripod on a roof! If starting at the Vauxhall Bridge end of Vauxhall Walk, you come to Graphite Square on your right. To get a view of the tripod aerial on the roof, continue up Vauxhall Walk for another 100 yards or so and then look back. I log it as good because it will be. We can't expect to walk up to and touch many of these Active Stations.

Very busy area of London - even on Sunday, not the most interesting site, apart from the fact it's the OS HQ.

After an enjoyable visit to the Picture of Britain exhibition at Tate Britain, I crossed Vauxhall Bridge to find this location. Thanks to Father Ted, I had no difficulty in locating Graphite Square but couldn't get a GPS reading inside. The quoted reference is probably just outside where contact was lost. A view of the roof object was available from the access to Haymans tower block a bit further north on Vauxhall Walk.

The OS Office Sign can be seen looking into Graphite Square from Vauxhall Walk, just to the right of the interesting sign for Horatio Myers Bedstead Manufacturers. I am pretty sure I could see something tripod shaped on the roof of the building by standing on the corner of Vauxhall Walk and Salamanca Street.

This is an unusual site, as it is the OS London office. There is a yard that the OS shares with other organisations. There was no sign of the pillar in the yard.

The yard where the OS office London is. Well I know this is the correct place as you can see the OS motors, and the caretaker at the gate to the yard said so.
