The concrete seat base mostly has a light build up of soil, leaves etc... except the right-hand end where the rivet is. Parking available at the seat.

(1115) Lane wide enough to allow for parking at the location. Rivet on RHS of the bench - which is now minus the plaque. Some soil build up needed to be removed, but all good.

There are three benches on Lotherton Lane, this bench is the one approx 250 yards from the main entrance to Lotherton Hall, easily identified by the plaque that it (currently) carries. (The other 2 are plaque-less, if there is such a word, and are a short distance either side of the A1 flyover)

This is recorded in the OS Passive Station database as a Surface Block, C1SE4436. It was omitted from the original TrigpointingUK list, perhaps because its rather boring 8-) Its a rivet, easily located on a concrete plinth beneath a roadside garden seat. A sketch and photo in the OS database are available. Views across fields reasonable although the A1(M) isn't far away. Lotherton Hall is also nearby and well worth a visit. Revisit 25 Sep 2010 - rivet still there but getting overgrown.
