Parked roadside beside access to tarmac track which I followed up to the top, handy gate to ascend instead of the fence. Brilliant views of Loch Ness and all around.

3rd of 4 Great Glen pillars today. I wanted to make a bit of a walk of it (not much after a hefty weekend of walking) so parked on the road up at the layby by a bike track. Walked back down the bike track then up tarmac road ( wind farm construction or hydro?). Great views up Loch Ness

To my suprise and delight I was able to just drive up to this one. I thought I would have to park up at the main road and walk up the track. Nice easy stroll across the field and over the gate to get this one. Lovely view from here.

Parked at the road and walked up the fresh snow on the track and bumped into two red deer. Then got to the trig. stunning views up the glen and Loch Ness. This one has a flushbracket but the other two I visited earlier didn't.

Short walk from car park up the large track, then a wee walk across the field, very muddy around gate and up to trig itself but worth it for the fantastic views.

The farmer was herding his sheep down the main access track and I got caught in the middle of the herd on the way up! The new track (presumably built for the nearby hydro works) seems to have completely replaced the original track (of which there is now no trace). The pillar is off to the right of the new track on a small mound, and easily accessed over a gate. Cylindrical pillar with FB and all sightholes open. GGP markings on spider. Tarmac plug. Nice view over part of Loch Ness and to the mountains in the SW. Position logged from average of 4 GPS readings over 15 minutes. Further details and photos to follow...
