curry stools are in boggy bits this one seemed actually lower than some of the surrounding peat bog

Kenneth Alexander Boggy spot of course but easy found considering what it is

From car park at road junc due S. Rough heather moorland but not difficult. Curry stool quite prominent near enough at the hill's high point. All 3 legs clear of encraoching vegetation; large ~3" dia conical bolt at centre.

Solo. From CP at the junction of A968 & B9081 (signed Mid Yell) at HU4984491717. Through open gate about 100mtrs NE up A968, then followed intermittent sheep trod to summit. Not a particularly interesting hill but Curry Stool at summit, also excellent views.

Nicely exposed example of a Curry Stool (trig) close to highest point after moorland walk with Rick Salter and Tricky Speirs, conditions much drier than normal.

I parked by the side of the road at the junction of the A968 and the road to North-a-Voe. A gate nearly opposite gave access to the very wet moorland leading up to the top of the Hill of Camb. This route requires three fence crossings, two of them with barbed wire; this and the many very soggy patches means I wouldn't necessarily recommend the route! The Curry Stool has quite a good outlook but the haze prevented some views.

Followed fence up the hill from the A968. Fence bisects the peak of the hill and I was fortunate in keeping left which was the correct side of the fence to find the curry stool. Good for the condition although it wasn't a pillar.
