Used the marked hydro tracks to reach the ford to the east of the pillar followed by a short, wet, rough pull up to the trig. Damaged as previously reported. Definitely not at the summit of the hill. Good views all round. With Nozzer.

FB Number: 11882  Condition: Slightly damaged  Score: 8/10

horizontal crack at 2/3 height, small chunk missing, standard Hotine pillar, asphalt plug, spider with a + and 2 triangular marks, in common with the other GG Project pillars. Nice rocky summit, fine view. 4-pillar circuit from NW end of Wade Road. Beeline crossing of gorge direct from 11870 is feasible, but easier crossing at 380059.

Gridref: NH 39289 05153   FB Number: 11882  Condition: Slightly damaged  Score: 10/10

GPSr NH39289 05153 6m. Standard Hotine pillar reasonable condition but with horizontal crack and missing chunk near top. Spider centre plugged with course granular material. RHS & back sight holes open. FB faces NE 36. Nearest safe parking on verge, north side of B862 at NH406089. Track at NH 402090 is temporarily occupied as part of a construction site for nearby dam project - divert around or trespass through on foot. These hills are very rough terrain but the panoramic views are well worth the effort. Photographed 22/08/2007, GRP.
