Could not find it. Moved quite a lot of stones from the shelter that has grew there but still couldnít find it. Noticed a squarish block thatís been battered a bit. Praying somebody hasnít destroyed it. Hoping the next person up will prove me wrong and find it

Summit shelter Block should be on the right near the end of the shelter

Did the Newlands horsehoe in bright calm conditions: Catbells covered in a swarm of walkers, but numbers greatly reduced after High Spy and we were almost alone from Hindscarth onwards. Helped a lone walker down the worst of the three rock steps on Robinson's NE ridge: it wouldn't be pleasant descending this way in slippery conditions as the bypass routes to avoid them aren't obvious from above.

What an epic this turned out to be having been barred from grassmoor round by the road covered in ice,we decided to do robinson instead. The mountain was in full winter conditions right from the start the three rock steps plastered in verglas was glad of axe and crampons. What a struggle wading through knee deep powder in places this was tiring the summit bitterly cold station at shelter on right hand side under snow. More snow trouble on way down to high snockrigg went over waist deep in a snow filled gully.

It was only when logging Crag hill this morning that I noticed I had missed out yesterday on the block on Grisedale pike so was determined to log this one, another good days walking.

Didnt realise there was a trig here - was supporting sec 5 of Andrew Tibbetts Bob Graham Round (which he finished in 21h48) and spotted the POI on the GPSr. NY 20200 16850 is about 35m out. Bolt in small, somewhat mis-shapen concrete block, just inside shelter cairn at summit, near end of one of the legs of the cairn, fairly obvious once you realise its not very near the expected GR. Perhaps minor damage to surface of bolt but I would have said Good. OS trig archive co-ords are NY 20179.406, 16873.781 closely agreeing with mine and others recorded co-ords.
