Large 2 3/8" bolt in rock at NE side of cairn, not sure if I saw this on my first visit to Birks in 2009, but wasn't doing trigs then. Only returned for the bolt, although not far off the track for St Sunday Crag.

This was very hard work for such an innocuous hill. The weather was hot and sunny with no breeze going up. Once on the ridge it got a little cooler. Came up from Patterdale. Bolt still uncovered and in good condition.
