Drive from either end of the road - Wearhead or Rigg Foot Farm. AS mounted on gable elevation at NW end of single-story water treatment plant bldg. Standard Leica dome installed October 2004; on its 10th receiver since that date, current one installed October 2018 - according to the BIGF info, although label on base has a manufacturing date that contradicts.

Visited with P61 and Brunshaw,on our way home calling at Middleton-in-Teesdale for a chippy tea & then on to Whoop Hall for a well earned pint.A fantastic day up on the moors with Brunshaw,& thanks for drop off & pick up P61. (P61 had already done the round previously,so he did some nearby tops instead).

On old water authority building/ garage/workshop. The reported position NY85174 39387 is approx 100m west of current position, possibly moved, will check maps later. Postscript - on checking maps the reported position is an empty field as far as I can ascertain. Previous logs are of the same location, the garage.

Steady rain again...another lovely British bank holiday. Lovely hot chocolate in cafe at Wearhead.

Northumbrian Water\'s Garage!

Usual mushroom dome. Located within grounds owned by Northumbrian Water. Had to explain what we were looking at to a very perplexed waterboard employee who said that we must be very sad people! Told him that more sad people might follow. Another employee asked if we were terrorists!!

County Durham. This active station is listed on the current OS database. It is located on the roof of a garage building belonging to Northumbrian Water, below the dam of Burnhope Reservoir.
