Quirky little beast, bit of a queuing system - do these people not know there are bolt photos to be taken! Marilyn bag of Claife Heights in the torrential rain thereafter - beautiful, loads of orchids.

Wandered up from Cartmel which is a lovely village and worth a walk around. Great views from the bolt in all directions. Stunning day.

This was my favourite trig of the day. I hadn't read anything about it before I left so just assumed it would be a bolt on a rock. Couldn't work out why it would have a name like this. Good walk up from track just after the farm. Wasn't I surprised when I got close. Amazing structure and very interesting. Storm bound at top so VERY difficult and dodgy to get up stairs. I couldn't stand at top and had to lie down to get photos due to wind. Quiet scary. Such an interesting location.

Up in Cumbria attending Piratemania 2014 and as luck or fortune, the new geocaching trail passed very close to this amazing place! [It was on my must-do list as well!]. Bolt found easily whilst enjoying the views, and also completing the various other geocaches very nearby and locally! Amazing place, well-recommended

One of wainwrights outlying fells and what a belter this is, large brass bolt on roof played with the still working direction indicator polished rock staircase leads to top brilliant sunny views.

Found on a trek up the hill with Seige, after the NW Mega in Cartmel was winding down. Brilliant views and unique location. Bolt was easily found.

Approach from golf course. A great end to a long day, wthe day threatened rain but ended up with a sunny evening giving good views to the Southern fells. Watched the tide rushing in across Morecambe bay.

From Grange through Eggerslack Wood. Unaware there was a bolt on top, so didn't look for it, & no logged GR. Natural summit is nearby limestone pavement.

OS name Hospice of Hampsfell. Station number 21 in Secondary Block SD47. Listed as a Bolt, as found on the roof. When the convention changed from marking all trig marks to just pillars on 1:25k maps, clearly they overlooked removing this one. Delightful walk across the Access Land, and excellent view point even in poor weather. Grid ref above is from the OS.

This looks like another phantom. The map shows the blue triangle symbol but there is no pillar on the ground. However, on the roof of the hospice (accessed by stairs) there is a bolt. See photographs. Visited whilst walking with my walking group - The Irregulars, LDWA - on a walk visiting some of Wainwright's Outlying Fells. Lovely area to visit.

Parked on the B5271 just outside Grange-over- Sands SD 41176 78582. Well marked route through Eggerslack Wood out onto the limestone fields, the summit is marked with a Hospice tower and look out, bolt upstairs.

Found this one and sent it in to TP.UK after seeing the pillar mark on the OS map, however I didn't realise how to add a user added trig, just been emailed back now and someone has added it... ah well, here's my log picture from 3rd June :-) bolt is easy to spot on the roof of the hospice

I've given this a 10 rating because there is a lot of interest in it - the hospice is fascinating, the views are good - with the dial on top of the hospice to help, and the limestone pavement is really special.
