Very fine view point for so little effort in the stroll from the NT car park.

The non pillar trig, SW63 T101, consists of a one inch round headed bolt embedded in the natural granite on a small hill to the west of St Ives. It was computed in 1956 and maintained in 1963. The site is easily accessed from the car park on the B3306 to the south. The site looks over the ocean to the north. St Ives, St Ives Bay and the distant North Cornwall coast line can be seen to the east. Rosewall Hill is over the road to the south and Trendrine Hill rises up in the west. The trig was visited near the start of my trip to the coast path and the Carn Naun Pillar. The hill is within the West Penwith part of the Cornwall AONB.
