A dustbin lid - wonderful! Easy spot when one knows what to look for. Set in the grass at corner of the Coastguard compound. Wonder if here's anything interesting beneath it.

Pre ferry in the dark. Just a light duty cover and no cut mark as far as I can see. Seems to be the one in the OS photo (which is no longer online? Just back from summitting the two big St Kilda sea stacs Armin and Lee, so from the sublime to the ridiculous.

This took slightly more finding than expected as we weren't expecting what looks like a drain cover. The fuel storage tanks shown in the OS picture presumably taken on their last visit on 31/07/2001 have also been demolished. The cover is located approx 20m from the NE corner of HM Coastguard building just at a fence corner, No access problems.
