The 1966 1:2500 map on Old Maps shows the position of the FBM was just south of the A40 and a little east of the start of the track that leads to the existing FBM. Comparison with the modern map suggests that road improvements may not have quite reached the location of this FBM, although it is very likely it was removed. There is a large lump of concrete/stone overgrown with brambles on the south side of the fence, just east of the gate. This needs investigating with secateurs and a crowbar to turn it over. Any volunteers?

The gate on the south side of the A40.
