Took a while to locate as under a few centimetres of soil. Only had walking pole and a few screwdrivers for assistance too. Nearly gave up but then we felt that tell tale thud and knew we were on the mark.

Reasonably easy to find with the measurements and a prodder. Late summer vegetation covering the site. Left with a loose earth cover

Another Surface Block that the OS have categorized as a Rivet, but T:UK have sensible named. 1.25km along the road from the FBM; parking approx 150m beyond in handy dirt pull-in. Found in good condition. Paced out 6m from where the LHD gatepost once stood, measured 1.05m from the wall, prodded down and, as luck would have it, located it straight away. Left it uncovered. (NB. Measured 6.3m from LHD gtp to bolt).

One inch bolt in block. Buried again due to recent drainage work but easily found thanks to arranc measurements and screwdriver

I arrived to find the Rivet/Bolt very neatly excavated - arranc had been here two hours before me. He'd done the hard work for me - many thanks.

Bolt or Rivet Slightly smaller than a pound coin

At last! A genuine first visit! Dug down about a foot using OS diagram and found the concrete block - first sighting since the OS visit in May 2003.6.2m from wall end and 1.05m from wall.
