Took a walk all around the site, the former RAF North Pickenham. Matthews' turkey farm sheds all remain lining the old runways, but none are in use, a little eerie walking down the old runway with sheds stretching away 3/4 mile. Holocaust Memorial Day and my thoughts were that if the turkey gains ascendancy this is where they will come to remember! Walked over the site of this pillar but nothing above ground remains at the site, unlikely this pair of the pillars will be found.

One of a pair of Project Emily trigs from the 1950s. No info available on FB numbers. The main runways are now covered by large turkey rearing sheds. The S trig site is E side of the runway, 10m into arable field, near the sheds. No trace found of either pillar. At least one taxiway is also intact, and there are a few old huts, but no sign of the mass concrete Thor missile bases; the trigs presumably went when the site was cleared. Non-poultry part of the site is now arable; also an 8-generator wind farm.
