Standard Leica dome, clearly visible from front of the building. Opened in 2011 after the OS spending 42 years at the Romsey Rd building.

I liked the modern architecture of this building especially the red brick shielding walls, and the giant trigpoint pillar which forms the war memorial. Appropriately, this is my first active station. My only disappointment is that there's no shop on-site (as at Romsey Road) so no more half-price maps for me!

New OS Net GNSS station known as SOTN on roof of new OS HQ building - replaces the station SHAM at Romsey Road (many thanks to the OS for the grid reference and this info). Visited on the occasion of the official opening of the new building - if you are interested in architecture note the beautiful brickwork in the huge baffle walls that cut the noise from the adjacent M271. On west end of roof, easily visable both from the motorway and from the new war memorial (also shaped like a very large trigpoint) accessed by going round the RH end of the building.
