Climbing up the knoll from the west saw this before the toposcope another 100 meters further south east. It is on slightly higher ground than the toposcope. Logged visit as noted it is listed here when logging the TP. Stone engraved with some dates of royal occasions, jubilees and coronations. All dates have been listed on a plaque attached to the stone. It has a crack across it, possibly vandalism. However the most recent coronation being May 2023 is not listed. Neither is there any recent evidence of a bonfire having been lit at this site. Wonder if there was a bonfire or beacon lit here earlier this year but they haven’t updated the plaque yet. Fantastic views all around.

Parked at entrance to Manor Farm and trogged up here to find the trig pillar missing, but that the coronation stone counts as a bag - bargain 2 for 1! 360deg views: S onto the M5; SE to Glastnbury Tor; N to the Mendips; and W to the Bristol Channel.
